Planning & Development

The Conway Planning Department is responsible for the administration of current planning, long range planning, and support of various planning related boards and commissions. Current planning includes day to day operations such as providing zoning information, site plan development review, subdivision review, Planning Commission, City Council, and Historic District Commission reports. Planning Staff also works with other City Departments including Fire, Engineering, Community Development, Police, and Sanitation to provide information as needed.

The Planning Department also provides Geographic Information Services (GIS) to the general public, other City Departments, and Faulkner County. Along with GIS services, the Planning Department creates and administers all City strteet addresses and coordinates with 911 services.

The Planning Department also provides long range planning through updates to the comprehensive plan, small area studies, corridor studies, and other long term visioning reports and activities.

The Planning Department provides staff support to the Planning Commission, Historic District Commission, Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Board, and Tree Board.
