Conway Regonal Health System, making a difference in the health of Faulkner County


Conway Regional Health System provides inpatient and outpatient health care services to Faulkner County and the surrounding area. As a not-for-profit health system, Conway Regional is committed to reinvesting in health care services that benefit the communities it serves.

Conway Regional makes a difference in the health of Faulkner County by identifying and addressing community needs, reaching out to the community, and growing the quantity and quality of its health care services

Identifying and Addressing Community Needs

Conway Regional sponsored a yearlong study to identify the top health concerns facing people in Faulkner County The health system conducted a comprehensive health needs assessment and worked with a number of health organizations in the community to identity 11 top health concerns. To address these health needs, Conway Regional will work with the community to focus on three areas:

Access to health care providers: Conway Regional will work to recruit more providers to the area – physicians in particular.

Obesity: In an effort to reduce the rate of childhood obesity, Conway Regional will sponsor programs that increase the activity level of children.

Wellness: Conway Regional will work with businesses to increase the number of corporate wellness programs in Faulkner County Their goal is to see three to five new programs per year over the next three years.

Conway Regional sponsors dozens of health fairs and screenings each year. The health system works with the Conway Regional Women's Council, the junior Auxiliary of Conway, United Way of Faulkner County, Bethlehem House, and numerous other philanthropic organizations to provide programs that benefit people of all ages and income levels. Conway Regional also offers support programs to help during difficult times. These include the Fabulous You Boutique, Perinatal Bereavement, the Diabetes Care Group, and many others.
The health system also operates a comprehensive, medically based fitness center dedicated to improving the wellness of those within the community Specially trained staff members offer rehabilitation, fitness health assessment, personal training, and health education testing. The 70,000-square-foot facility is one of the largest hospital-based fitness centers in the nation and features a lap pool; weight training and cardiovascular fitness equipment; racquetball, basketball, and volleyball courts; a walking track; an aerobics area; a child care facility; and other amenities.

Conway Regional makes investments that bring advanced technology and needed health care services and programs to Faulkner County In the past decade, there has been tremendous growth and progress in how health care is provided in Faulkner County

  • The Conway Regional Women's Center delivers more than 1,800 babies per year - a 25 percent increase in births from a decade ago.
  • Over the last 10 years, Conway Regional has invested more than $60 million in technology and services; and the medical staff has grown to more than 125 physicians.
  • The latest addition to Conway Regional is a $32 million expansion and renovation of surgical and obstetrics services. Lt is the largest project in the hospital's history and includes 10,000 square feet of renovated space, 85,000 square feet of new construction, and more than $5 million in new equipment.

Conway Regional Health System focuses on the quality of the care it provides and has received national recognition for these efforts. Most recently, the Conway Regional Home Health department was honored for its efforts to keep patients healthy at home. Other initiatives are also in place to improve the quality of care and patient satisfaction.

While Conway Regional Health System is the largest health care provider in Conway, residents also may choose among numerous doctors, dentists, behavioral health specialists, chiropractors, and physical therapists for their health care. In addition, a number of health care organizations in the area provide low-cost medical care to the uninsured and under-insured.
